Based in Los Angeles, Harbor provides custom eDiscovery solutions to corporations, law firms and government entities for legal litigation. Harbor identify, collect and produce electronically stored information in response to a request for production in a law suit or investigation. The electronically stored information provided by Harbor includes emails, documents, presentations, databases, voicemails, audio and video files, social media posts, and web sites.
The processes and technologies around e-discovery are often complex because of the sheer volume of electronic data produced and stored. Additionally, unlike hardcopy evidence, electronic documents are more dynamic and often contain metadata such as time-date stamps, author and recipient information, and file properties. The main idea behind this rebranding was to clarify and simplify the services provided by Harbor.
I developed a visual identity in order to create a bridge between the complex technological operations and essential legal needs. I redesigned a logo that represents the idea of exploration and discovery. The iconographic language is based on different physical situations and actions in order to create visual metaphors and make the processes easier to understand for the public.

Inspired by maritime navigation, I explored the visual field of this universe to understand its iconographic codes.
