A Good Time
A Good Time Production is a Franco-Swiss company that produces and distributes films for the cinema. Founded as a collaboration between Georges Kern, Yvan Attal et Charlotte Gainsbourg for the making of the film My Stupid Dog in 2019, the production company released its first feature length film with a remarkable entry into the world of the 7th Art.
For its debut, the production house wanted to provide itself a brand that leans heavily upon the protocols of classic cinema from the 1970s: a true homage to a thematic and stylistic break in the field of film. The 70s brought a fresh breath of air to audiences with the arrival of cinema’s nouvelle vague of directors such as Francis Ford Coppola et Martin Scorsese. As such, this was a great source of inspiration for the visual and narrative conceit of the brand.
For this new branding, I envisioned a minimalist language oriented toward spotlighting contrasts. The type fonts refer to New York style commercial images often found in films of this period. The play between light and dark, positive and negative, helps build a luscious graphic theme that pairs static and animated media, while juxtaposing scenes of the past with those of the future.

The succession of black-and-white type characters recalls the culture of cult brands that formed the identity of the 70s film mystique.
Like filming a scene, the typography brings life to meanings that evolve given light and motion.
Made by and for cinema
Concentric rings create a choreography of lights that illuminate the brand under the glimmer of movie projectors.
