A Good Time Production is a Franco-Swiss film company specializing in producing and distributing cinematic works. Established in 2019 through the collaboration of Georges Kern, Yvan Attal, and Charlotte Gainsbourg for the film My Stupid Dog, the company made a striking debut in the world of the 7th Art with its first feature-length release.
For its branding, the production house sought to pay homage to the iconic cinema of the 1970s, a revolutionary era marked by the rise of auteurs like Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese. Drawing from this inspiration, I crafted a minimalist visual identity emphasizing stark contrasts. Typography was influenced by the commercial aesthetics of 1970s New York, often seen in films of the time. By playing with light and shadow, positive and negative space, the branding creates a rich, cinematic graphic language that bridges the timelessness of classic cinema with the forward-looking ambitions of A Good Time Production.

The succession of black-and-white type characters recalls the culture of cult brands that formed the identity of the 70s film mystique.
Like filming a scene, the typography brings life to meanings that evolve given light and motion.
