League of Legends (Lol) Esports is the professional circuit for the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game League of Legends. Developed and published by Riot Games it was first released in 2009 with professional tournaments beginning in 2011 with the Season 1 World Championship at DreamHack in Sweden. Today, ‘Worlds’ is one of the most important esports tournaments on the planet.
Following the evolution of Lol Esport's branding, Riot games wanted to define a signature animated by the logo for all of its online communication media. In the continuity of this organic endeavour, elements representative of the game contribute to the brand language and the league of Legends identity.
Alongside the Massive Assembly team, I thought of and created a short and engaging visual narrative to represent the key points of the game. The visual elements of reference are water, fire, wind, ice and earth. These different physical mediums were a strong reference point to define the organization's new animated signature and create engagement with the esport community.

Between typography and substance
My plastic research was based on establishing a connection between the different typographic characters of the name and the physical elements used in the game.
These plastic investigations were an opportunity to explore the enhancement of each element in the geometrical forms of the main logo.
