The Cosmopolitan Hub of Exchange

Situated at the heart of Europe, Geneva has long been recognized as a critical hub of exchange and innovation. Cosmopolitan and globally connected, it is a city where cultures converge and ideas flourish, making it a unique stage for international diplomacy, finance, and culture. To enhance its communication efforts and engage its diverse population, the city developed sophisticated digital tools aimed at sharing key events and news with both residents and visitors, focusing specifically on cultural, artistic, and institutional activities.

Reflecting Multifaceted Interconnectivity

The city's communication department sought to establish a digital-first visual identity that could accurately reflect Geneva's dynamic and multifaceted essence. My role involved developing a contemporary creative direction explicitly inspired by the city's profound interconnectivity. The solution centered on a constantly evolving map motif. This dynamic map transcends mere orientation; it becomes a powerful visual symbol for the convergence of people, ideas, and pathways within the city.

A Vibrant Platform for Discovery

This map motif serves as a central element for the city's content, doubling as an invitation to explore Geneva's richness through featured interviews and detailed reports. The visual identity transforms the city's communication into a vibrant, living platform for discovery, connection, and shared experiences. The final design successfully leverages Geneva’s geographical and diplomatic importance, positioning the city as a dynamic, navigable platform where every resident and visitor can find their place and engage with its continuous flow of culture and innovation.
