Geographically located in the heart of Europe, the city of Geneva has long been a center of partaking and exchange. Cosmopolitan, open to the world and to innovation, Geneva is the cradle of access to the Nations. In recent years, the city of Geneva has developed for itself communication tools in order to share major events and news across the city and with its population.
The department of communication for the city is developping a premiere digital information network, first for cultural and artistic activities, as well as for numerous agencies that make Geneva a multi-faceted city, where everyone comes together to discover and exchange. A wealth of content is shared daily on Youtube, but also across other social network platforms. The city therefore wanted to establish a visual identity adapted to the digital world that capitalizes on Geneva’s core brand.
Holding to the great municipal principles of its local Genevan identity, the creative direction that I developed is based upon an unwaveringly contemporary vocabulary and inspired by the city’s interconnectivity. The visual domain created represent a map of the city in constant movement. The principle of the map being to orient oneself, the proposed graphic theme acts as an invitation to take a journey through interviews and reports broadcast. The city thus becomes a place of sharing and of discovery in perpetual evolution.
