The Legacy of Time and Mastery
Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin holds the distinguished title of the world’s oldest continuously operating watchmaker, a testament to over 260 years of unparalleled craftsmanship and stylistic ingenuity. The Maison embodies the very essence of Fine Watchmaking (Haute Horlogerie), meticulously blending technical mastery with timeless artistry to create timepieces that are exceptional in both complexity and beauty. This enduring legacy is built on a foundation of precision, rarity, and an unwavering commitment to mechanical excellence that spans centuries.
A Tribute to Aerial Pioneers
For its exclusive Les Aérostiers collection, Vacheron Constantin sought to connect its own history of pioneering technical achievement with the earliest triumphs of human flight. The collection is a direct homage to the pioneers of flight, specifically drawing inspiration from the historic 1783 hot-air balloon flight in France. The technical execution mirrors the ambition of the subject matter: the watches feature breathtakingly intricate designs achieved through demanding artisanal techniques, including plique-à-jour enameling (where enamel is suspended between fine gold wires without a backing) and highly detailed hand-engraving.
The Narrative of Aspiration
The campaign accompanying this collection was crafted to capture the spirit of adventure and humanity’s enduring aspiration to soar higher. The narrative drew substantial influence from classic literary works, notably Jules Verne’s Five Weeks in a Balloon, translating the sense of dreamlike exploration and daring ingenuity into the visual language. By blending the Maison’s technical mastery with a romantic vision of adventure, the campaign successfully evokes a journey, positioning the collection as a wearable piece of history that celebrates both the art of watchmaking and the magnificent, adventurous spirit of early aviation.

A serious plunge into engraving and book imprints from 1860 to 1900 was done in order to bring back the authentic embellishments and visual style of the periods.

Specific fonts and flourishes have been designed to reinforce historic references in for the title cards and credits.
