AFRICAN ART AND CULTURE
Designed at ÉSAAB for Revue Noire TTC
“Polyphony story, the short and great story of Revue Noire. Anecdotal, theoretical, this story tells a human adventure that has risked freeing itself of many prejudices. And that is probably its main quality, without any other real pretension.” Revue Noire is a quarterly bilingual contemporary art revue dedicated to African artistic expressions.
I designed a new vision of this African art and culture through the new magazine. Only the black color was the key element of the concept for this new magazine’s architecture. The plastic choices used in this project are based on the history and purpose of African art and refer to the testimony and culture of black African countries.
