RHYMES AND FLOW

 Designed for Asso Unvsti

Lawrence “Krsna” Parker, also known by his stage names KRS-One, and Teacha, is a rapper from The Bronx in New York. KRS-One rose to prominence as part of the group Boogie Down Productions, which he formed with DJ Scott La Rock in the late 1980s. Following the release of the group’s debut album, Criminal Minded, La Rock was shot dead, but KRS-One continued the group, effectively as a solo project. KRS-One is noted to be a politically active musician having started the Stop the Violence Movement, after the death of Scott La Rock..

For the anniversary of the Saint-Brieuc based hip-hop association Unvsti, I designed an artistic poster developed for the presentation of hip hop workshops by the association representing all the rhymes moving in the air like a music beating the hears. The aim of the association was to show to the young people during the workshop how to pacificaly express their vision of violence by the “Boogie Down” reference.
